SAFETY SECURITY

Is it safe to buy online with my credit card?

Bullseye darts will provide you with the most secure shopping technology available to us. When you use your credit card on our website, we do not save that information - it is passed directly to the bank through a secure server, Paypal that uses 128 bit Secure Sockets Layer software (SSL) to encrypt the information that you enter. This technology is designed to prevent any unauthorised viewing and downloading of your order information.

We also use the security number on your credit card to ensure the person shopping is in possession of the correct card.

Security code

The CSC (Card Security Code) is a 3 or 4 digit number that appears on your credit card, but is not part of your credit card number. The CSC is also known as the Card Verification Code (CVC) by Visa, Card Validation Code (CVV) by MasterCard. The CSC is an extra security feature of your credit card. It is not contained in the magnetic stripe information, nor does it appear on sales receipts or billing statements – you must have the card in your possession in order to use this code. Card security codes are not raised (they are only printed), so they are not scanned into standard credit card readers. In theory, these numbers are only visible to you. When you give your card security code to a merchant, you assist the merchant in verifying that the order is being placed by you, the card holder.

Visa/Master Card

In the signature box on the back of your card you should see a 16-digit credit card number followed by a special 3 digit code that is non-embossed. This 3 digit code is your CSC. In some cases you may see the last 4 digits of your card number with the additional 3 digit security code following.
